what is the latest this week?

O

Dear Valued Customers,

Greetings from KSR Freight.

As we move into Week 13, the global freight and logistics market continues to experience heightened volatility. The ongoing geopolitical developments in the Middle East are now having a more pronounced impact on both air freight capacity and ocean freight operational stability, leading to increased rates, tighter space availability, and continued uncertainty across global supply chains.

Please find below our Week 13 Market Update outlining the latest developments and forward outlook.

Geopolitical Situation – Middle East Impact The security situation in the Middle East remains sensitive and continues to disrupt normal logistics flows. Several Middle East–based carriers have either suspended operations or are operating with significantly reduced frequencies, resulting in a sharp decline in overall market capacity.

At the same time, maritime uncertainty in key Gulf corridors continues to influence vessel deployment decisions, creating further instability in ocean schedules and network planning.

Industry expectations indicate that the situation may remain volatile over the coming weeks, with continued pressure on both capacity and freight pricing.

Air Freight Market – Week 13 Outlook Air freight capacity has tightened further compared to Week 12, particularly across India, Bangladesh, Southeast Asia, and Middle East transshipment hubs.

Key developments include:  Suspension of services by several Middle East carriers Remaining carriers operating with limited and controlled capacity deployment  Strong surge in demand due to capacity shortfall  Air freight rates expected to remain at peak levels over the next few weeks  Airlines revising Fuel Surcharge (FSC) upward across most trade lanes  Short validity of quotations and flight-specific rate confirmations
• Priority and contract cargo receiving preference over spot shipments Given the current scenario, customers are strongly advised to plan shipments at least 7–10 days in advance and remain flexible with routing options via alternative hubs in Europe and Asia-Pacific where feasible.

Ocean Freight Market – Week 13 Outlook Ocean freight markets are also facing increased cost pressure and operational adjustments.

Key developments include:  Introduction of Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) by several carriers  Implementation of Emergency / Contingency Surcharges due to regional instability  Continued schedule disruptions and vessel rotation adjustments  Potential increase in transit times across selected trade lanes  Rising bunker costs contributing to higher overall freight levels Carriers are actively reviewing network deployment strategies, which may lead to further changes in sailing schedules and service reliability in the near term.

Capacity & Rate Outlook With reduced air capacity and sustained cargo demand, freight rates are expected to remain firm to strong in the short term. Fuel surcharge revisions and operational surcharges are likely to continue impacting overall logistics costs. KSR Freight is closely coordinating with airline partners and shipping lines to secure workable space solutions and maintain service continuity. For urgent or high-volume requirements, charter solutions and tailored routing strategies can be arranged based on shipment specifics.

Strategic Advisory In view of the current market environment, we strongly recommend customers to:  Plan shipments well in advance  Allow additional transit buffer for both air and ocean cargo  Remain flexible on routing and uplift options  Coordinate closely with our team for priority space planning  Review shipment costing considering surcharge fluctuations

KSR Freight will continue to monitor the evolving situation and keep you updated with timely market intelligence and operational guidance.
